Building Resilience in Caregivers Program

This virtual program is available through a physician-referral.

The EWPCN’s Building Resilience in Caregivers (BRiC) program gives caregivers an opportunity to connect with other caregivers and learn about how to maintain their own health and wellbeing with a variety of team-based health care resources (occupational therapy, behavioural health consultants, exercise specialists, registered nurses, pharmacists, social workers and dietitians). As caregivers take an hour to learn and reconnect in the community a concurrent cognitive stimulation therapy session is provided to the person living with dementia to slow the progression of cognitive decline and improve their quality of life.

The EWPCN is grateful for the grant-funded support through the Alberta Health Services Community-Based Innovations to Support People Living with Dementia Initiative.
